What to do?

Surf

The ocean is right there on the other side of the bridge. It takes you 15 minutes from the center of Lisbon to the closest surf spot which is Costa da Caparica – great waves, really fun, good for intermediate to advanced surfers. I mean it’s the beach of Lisbon you know.

Beach Bars

A few minutes south of Caparica you will find a totally different world… No buildings, only sand dunes and some of the coolest beach bars in Portugal.

We recommend these:

  • Princessa
  • Priscina
  • Irmao

Praia Princesa

Pizza and Caffeine

You will find the best pizza at Blitz just a few minutes from the house!

If you like locally roasted cafes, you should go to Asante Cafe!

Fish markets

Go to the fish market close to the center, you will find fresh fish! If you are lucky you can get your first-hand fish straight from the fishermen, around sunset or in the morning at Praia Nova!
Santido do Mar Restaurant also works if you don’t want to prepare your own meal.

Bakeries

If you are on a diet it will be tough for you. The local classics are at Santo Antonio across the park or Nutrivia in the center. Try the chocolate croissant or the toasted bread with butter!
